iOS 4.1 Beta 2 was released last night and I think it fixed some bugs and solved the proximity sensor issue which was plaguing some iPhone 4 users since launch. MuscleNerd has tweeted that Redsn0w Beta 5 can be used to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 Beta 2 for both iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G, But Ultrasn0w will not work as iOS 4.1 Beta 2 Changes the Baseband and need to rewrite Ultrasn0w!
If you've updated to 4.1beta2 on iPhone3G or iPod2G(non-MC), you can use this redsn0w from June to jailbreak. Just point it at the 4.0 IPSW (the public one, not the developer GM one). (Yes – point it at the 4.0 IPSW even though you're at 4.1beta2). Don't do this if you need the ultrasn0w carrier unlock!! Note 1: This won't hacktivate your iPhone3G – but for those with legit access to the 4.1beta2 this shouldn't matter. Please don't pirate Apple software Note 2: If you're at 4.1beta2 you'll probably experience network problems after jailbreaking. Until a new version of redsn0w is released, you may need to rely on afc2 access (such as FunBox-like file browser programs) to manipulate your filesystem. As I already Told you that Apple is Doing Soft SHSH Blobs, You will have to Save SHSH Blobs of iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G, There's two ways to do that, You can use Cydia to Save your SHSH Blobs or use TinyUmbrella (For myself I would choose Cydia), Check the two methods after the jump.. The iPhone Dev Team has just posted that Apple started Doing "Soft" SHSH Blobs Check Starting from iOS 4, This means that like the 3GS and the iPhone 4, if iTunes can’t get your blobs (due to signing window being closed), the iTunes restore will error out.
Those of you with jailbroken iPhone3G and ipt2G devices may now have noticed Cydia starting to save your SHSH blobs too, just like it does for iPhone3GS, ipt3G and later devices. That’s because starting with 4.0, Apple started putting a “soft” SHSH blob check in the firmware. The SHSH blob check is very real in the sense that if iTunes can’t get your blobs (because the Apple signing window has closed), the iTunes restore will error out. But it’s “soft” in the sense that those devices can always use redsn0w or PwnageTool to get past the error (the bootroms themselves for those devices don’t require blobs to be in the firmware files, unlike the newer bootroms).
So, Cydia is doing this to allow you to continue to use iTunes to restore to 4.x on iPhone3G and ipt2g outside of Apple’s signing window without needing to use redsn0w or PwnageTool to get around Apple’s annoying new restriction.
So Cydia Started to Save SHSH Blobs of older Devices as iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G as well, But we are lucky since the Check is "Soft", so it can be easily bypassed by using redsn0w or PwnageTool from the Dev Team.
According to FSM, iH8sn0w is now in work on a new update for Sn0wbreeze, he mentioned that Sn0wbreeze 2 is in Making for iOS 3.1.x / iOS 4.0 / iOS 4.0.1 and iOS 4.1 beta 1. This new update for Snm0wbreeze will support all devices except iPad and iPhone 4 as iH8sn0w didn't get a one yet!

You can use this redsn0w to jailbreak 4.0.1 on iPhone3G. Just point it at the 4.0 IPSW (the public one, not the developer GM one). (Yes – point it at the 4.0 IPSW even though you're at 4.0.1). There's a mobilesubstrate issue that will prevent ultrasn0w from working correctly at 4.0.1. That'll be fixed soon.
Steps: Step 1: Download iOS 4.0.1 for your version of iPhone / iPod Touch links Here. Step 2: Update to this latest firmware using the IPSW file you just downloaded via iTunes 9.2. Step 3: Launch Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-5 (Links at the end) and Browse for iOS 4 Firmware not iOS 4.0.1 file. Step 4: Select "Install Cydia" and click on Next

MaxdMerc, who is a guy working at the Apple Store, Lakeside (UK) has just posted on his twitter account that the next firmwareUpdate (iOS 4.0.1) might be delayed as Apple is fixing patch holes used to JailbreakiOS 4.
Guy in Apple Lakeside seems 2 think 4.0.1 is delayed as they r doing a fix 2 stop jailbreak that they have found. Dunno if true?
This delay may be due to the upcoming jailbreak by the guys in the iPhone Dev Team who confirmed that they will release a Jailbreak tool for all devices (Including iPhone 4) on iOS 4 / 4.0.1 [via Redmondpie]

Many of iPhone and iPod Touch users has updated to iOS 4 to see the best iOS features as Multitasking, Wallpapers, and etc.. But they couldn't jailbreak, they got performance lags, or just didn't find it suitable. So here's a new and easy way to Downgrade iOS 4 to 3.1.3 / 3.1.2 or older on both iPhone and iPod Touch.
Note: For iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 2G (MC) you MUST have SHSH blobs of the older Firmware, if your SHSH Blobs are saved on saurik's server then follow this steps to get it on your computer: Step 1: Connect your Device and Launch TinyUmbrella (Download below) then Check on "Advanced Options Step 2: Now select your Device, Firmware and Location (Choose Cydia) Step 3: Click on "Save My SHSH" button
Required: - Download iOS 3.1.3 / 3.1.2 from Here. - Download TinyUmbrella, latest version from Here. - iTunes 9.2 for Mac and Windows from Here.
Steps: Step 1: Put your iPhone in DFU Mode, guide posted here. Step 2: This Step for iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 3G and iPod Touch 2G (MC), If you are on iPhone 3G or iPod Touch 2G then skip this Step.
Run TinyUmbrella (download above), and Hit Display SHSH (If you have already saved SHSH on your computer, then just drag and drop it in TinyUmbrella)
Now Hit on "Start TSS Server" button
Locate "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\" for Windows and "/etc/" directory for Mac, then locate “hosts” file andOpen it in Notepad (for Windows) or TextEdit (for Mac OS X) and add this at the bottom of the file.

Step 3: Now open iTunes 9.2 (download above) and do the following to Restore your iOS.
Hold down “Alt” button on Mac / “Shift” button on Windows and click on “Restore” then release the Alt / Shift button
Locate the Downloaded iOS FW from the Required above, and let iTunes Restore your Device.
After several process, iTunes will bring error 1015, 1013 or 101 message, just ignore it and Click ok
Step 4: You will find your Device in Recovery Mode, there's two ways to exit Recovery Mode, may be with TinyUmbrella or RecBoot
To Exit Recovery Mode using TinyUmbrella (download above) just click on "Kick Device Out of Recovery" just below "Start TSS Server"
To Exit Recovery Mode using Recboot Just Download RecBoot (Windows / Mac) and Click on "Exit Recovery Mode" and your Device will restart automatically.

Update: VERY IMPORTANT Now iH8sn0w has posted instructions and successfully working for Jailbreaking iPod Touch 3G and 2G (MC Model), also iPhone 3GS (New Bootrom), check the guide posted here. iH8sn0w has just updated his tool to Sn0wbreeze V1.6 so he give the ability to Jailbreak iPod touch 3G / 2G (MC Model) (Update: better to wait for iH8sn0w) and iPhone 3GS New Bootrom, This new version only works for people who got are on 3.1.2 or got their 3.1.2 SHSH Blobs on Cydia Server.
If you are on iOS 4 and saved SHSH of 3.1.2 on Cydia Server, then you can Downgrade iOS 4 to 3.1.2 and then Jailbreak using this Sn0wbreeze V1.7, guide posted here.

iPod Touch 3G and 2G (MC Model) Owners will be happy today because iH8sn0w will update his popular tool Sn0wbreeze to support iPod Touch 3G and 2G (MC Model) on iOS 4 but Unfortunately this is for who already on 3.1.2 or saved 3.1.2 SHSH on Cydia Server.

The iOS 4.1 Beta 1 was released last month on July 15th, then the iOS 4.1 Beta 2 and now Beta 3, Do you think it's the last beta or still there's Beta 4 as in iOS 4.
